![]() ![]() ![]() I was working with an OFX converter, but I'm not clear that OFX can combine data from multiple accounts into a single file due to the requirement to have a ledger balance line. GNUCash already supports OFX protocols where possible. It would be nice if I could take this file and process it once and output a file that GnuCash could then import into the correct accounts. ,Paycheck,MY EMPLOYER,1,000,000.00,credit,Paycheck,Checking, ,Mortgage,MY MORTGAGE COMPANY,1.95,debit,Credit Card Payment,OtherChecking, ,Student Loan Payment,MY STUDENT LOAN LENDER,40,debit,Student Loan,Checking, ,BART,BART-POWELL QPS 5104646979 CA 94102 US C_OTHERTRAVEL,20,debit,Public Transportation,CapitolOne Visa, Hi Welcome back to my channel In this video, I will be showing you how to import transactions from a CSV file in GnuCash, create accounts as we go and, mat. My guess is this has something to do with time zones. Here's a sample of Mint data with a few accounts in it: Date,Description,Original Description,Amount,Transaction Type,Category,Account Name,Labels,Notes When I import it into Gnucash, the dates that show for the transactions are off by a day or two compared to the dates on my statements. In a series of posts this week, I will describe how I use GnuCash to manage my finances. However, with QIF I can only import data from one account at a time. GnuCash is an open-source double-entry bookkeeping software. Note: Kmymoney does support some online banking features (transaction. The file format for QIF was simple enough that I was able to write my own conversion tool. However, a manual download of transactions from the web browser online access in ofx format, and subsequent import into GnuCash, is possible and works well. Thanks again, and just so you know KMyMoney has the best CSV import method and. So far I have been able to convert that data into QIF. I'm a Mint user, and I like the idea of letting Mint manage the connection to my bank, but I need to get the data into a real accounting package: GnuCash. To access the predefined investment accounts hierarchy, you must make sure your GnuCash file is open, switch to the Accounts tab, and choose Actions > New Account Hierarchy. Online financial aggregators are great for getting transactions from all of your accounts into one place, but the accounting tools they provide are pretty minimal. ![]()
